Zidane has no clear answers to the 'Gareth Bale' problem
- Gareth Bale sat through Betis defeat in what was supposed to become his 'last game' for the club.
- Zidane continues playing cryptic, refusing to open up on the Welshman's future.
Gareth Bale has made the matchday squad after being left out of the previous away defeat against Real Sociedad in what was supposed to become Gareth's last match for Blancos.
Yet, Zizou didn't bring the Welshman off the bench, neither did the 29-year-old take part in the post-match lap of honour as the French boss confirmed the situation with Bale remains highly unclear:
"We will see [if Bale continues]. I don't know what will happen, truthfully. I have counted on other players lately, that is clear for my part. If I had another change today, the same would have happened.
"I have to look at the day to day and make decisions. And when there is something I do not like, or does not fit for me, I must do what I think best.
"It might be difficult for the player who has won a lot here, but the day today is the day today," concluded the manager.
There was a version of this interview earlier but it turned out to be a rather fake one. This is what Zinedine Zidane said during the presser.
Should Bale sacrifice money for playtime?
