Sport: Madrid re-enter Neymar race, player's stance revealed
- PSG are open to selling for the right price.
- The 27-year-old favours a return to Barcelona.
According to Diario SPORT, Barcelona-based news daily, Real Madrid have reignited their interest in Neymar. The PSG wantaway star had been given green light to leave Parc des Princes for a suitable price by the club's sporting director Leonardo earlier this week.
The Brazilian joined PSG from Barcelona in a record-breaking €220 million fee in 2017. After just two seasons at Paris, Neymar wants to quit the Ligue 1 champions with his former club leading the race.
Madrid, however, have two clear advantages over their bitter rivals, as per the source. The first one lies within a bit spoiled relationship between Spanish and French champions. The other one is Real's willingness to offer the 27-year-old the same terms he is currently on at PSG.
The player himself favours a return to Camp Nou where he would be forced to accept a massive pay cut.
Madrid had reportedly made their first offer to land Neymar at the end of the 2018/19 campaign - all in vain, eventually.
Would you still welcome Neymar at the Bernabeu?
