AS: Real Madrid anxious as Bale's transfer value drops by third
- The Welshman has had a disastrous season with Madrid.
- His transfer value currently stands at 60 million euros, 30 million lower than last summer.
- It might be difficult for Los Blancos to get the money they spent on Bale back if they want to sell him now.
Since the start of the transfer window, Los Blancos are looking for a way to ship Gareth Bale away to some other club. However, they might find it hard to win anything on the transfer or even get back 100 million euros they spent to sign the winger from Spurs back in 2013.
In fact, according to Transfermarkt's latest players value update, the Welshman's price plummeted by a third since the last summer. At the moment, Bale is rated at 60 million euros while after his triumphant performance in the Champions League final against Liverpool the winger's value stood at 90 million euros.
However, the disastrous 2018/19 season affected the Welshman harder than most of his teammates, except for Marcelo whose value dropped from 60 million euros to just 25 million euros.
CIES Football Observatory and KPMG's Football Benchmark platform, two other platforms specializing in players' transfer value, rate Bale even lower than Transfermarkt: at 40-50 million and 52 million euros respectively.
Despite all the exit rumours Bale has joined Real Madrid on their pre-season trip to Canada and USA. Moreover, he is seemingly doing his best to help Eden Hazard adapt to the life of Real Madrid players. As our players have started their pre-season training sessions on Wednesday, the two players were seen running and exercising alongside each other.
