Ex-Colombia vice-president proposes pact to hate Zidane amidst James rumours
- Humberto urged his compatriots to unite in their hatred for Zinedine due to the manager's attitude towards James.
- The former vice-president tweeted the proposition and then deleted it almost instantly.
- James is rumoured to leave for either Atletico Madrid or Napoli.
We've got all sorts of reports. Take a breather from the unending rumours about Neymar and listen to Humberto de la Calle, the former vice-president of Colombia. The politician was one of the key figures to end conflicts between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia [FARC]. Now he has decided to comment on another issue.
Humberto took to Twitter to make a joke about the situation surrounding his compatriot James Rodriguez: "I propose a National Pact: if we are doomed to hate, then let's agree to hate Zidane. Long live James!" The politician deleted the tweet almost instantly.
Zidane asked if the Colombian's absence from the pitch means James is leaving the Bernabeu for good: "No. James is our player. He has not been called up these two games. Until 31 August [he means September 2] anything can happen. But a coach will always count on the players he has available. I won't tell you the things you want. l will count on the players I have."
Do you agree with Humberto?
