Ajax sporting director Overmars: 'I think Van de Beek will stay'
- Overmars has stopped working on the transfer market and intends to keep Donny.
- Ajax manager also hopes that Van de Beek is going to stay at Ajax in the 2019-2020 season.
- Despite the reports about the move to Real Madrid, it looks more like he will remain in the Eredivisie.
- However, there's still time to complete the deal.
Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars is taking hope away from Real Madrid supporters amidst transfer rumours: "I think Van de Beek will stay with us. It won't take long before we know it for sure, but I hope that everything will go well. We’re not searching for other players."
Erik ten Hag has also denied any agreement between our club and the Dutch: "[Van de Beek] only dedicates himself to playing. I guess and I hope that he stays with us this season. Otherwise, I will hear from Marc Overmars."
According to La Sexta, Real Madrid might sign the midfielder in 2020 due to our selling business lacking actual results. Los Blancos have way too many players that they want to offload and so far we haven't completed any big outgoing deals. This could postpone the Dutchman's arrival to the Bernabeu.
