Van de Beek answers to latest Real Madrid-linked reports
- The Dutchman admitted that he may very well stay at the Eredivisie next season.
- Donny praised both Real Madrid and Ajax and has said that nothing is certain yet.
- Marc Overmars and Erik ten Hag have both recently stated Van de Beek is likely to continue his career at Ajax.
Donny van de Beek continued the wave of statements pointing to the fact we won't be signing the midfielder: "Nothing is certain yet, but there's a good chance I'll continue here [Ajax]. Whatever happens, Real Madrid and Ajax are both fantastic clubs. I can't complain."
Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars has made it clear that he has no plans to look for a replacement anytime soon: "I think Van de Beek will stay with us. It won't take long before we know it for sure, but I hope that everything will go well. We’re not searching for other players."
Erik ten Hag has also denied any agreement between our club and the Dutch: "[Van de Beek] only dedicates himself to playing. I guess and I hope that he stays with us this season. Otherwise, I will hear from Marc Overmars."
According to La Sexta, Real Madrid might sign the midfielder in 2020 due to our selling business lacking actual results. Los Blancos have way too many players that they want to offload and so far we haven't completed any big outgoing deals. This could postpone the Dutchman's arrival to the Bernabeu.
