Mayoral agrees with loan decision: 'I didn't deserve to return to Real Madrid'
- The striker is currently away on loan at Levante for the second year in-a-row.
- Borja has nothing against Zidane despite the manager ignoring Mayoral completely.
- Our loanee knew that Jovic's signing meant that there was no place at Madrid left.
- Despite being a Madridista, Mayoral wants Levante to win on Saturday.
Borja Mayoral has opened up on his summer decisions and Real Madrid having no use for him: "I understood not having Zidane contact me, I have already commented that I didn't do enough to deserve returning to Real Madrid. The club had already signed Luka Jovic and I had to look after myself.
"I was here at Levante last season and although it wasn't my best season, I felt comfortable here. I like the team and the life and the coaching staff have helped me to improve. I want to continue improving and I think I can.
"Now, I am with Levante. I belong to Real Madrid, but I want Levante to win this weekend. I have been going to the Bernabeu since I was a child, I have played there with Madrid and now doing it with another club is going to make me a little weird, but I like it."
Do you think Mayoral should ask for a permanent move?
