OFFICIAL: Real Madrid confirm Valverde injury
- Fede was on duty with Uruguay and returned to Madrid on Thursday.
- The 21-year-old has suffered a muscular injury on the left leg.
- The date of his return isn't specified yet.
Real Madrid have issued an official statement on Federico Valverde's physical condition after the midfielder has missed training session on Friday morning:
"After the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Federico Valverde has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the rectus femoris of the left leg. Pending evolution."
According to an earlier report by Madrid-based media outlet ABC, Federico Valverde has suffered the injury while on international duty with Uruguay.
The 21-year-old midfielder has returned to Madrid with a muscular problem in his left leg. All in all, this is already the tenth muscle injury suffered by a Los Blancos player since the start of the campaign.
Moreover, with Luka Modric being the previous victim of the international break with an adductor injury, Isco still recovering from femoris injury and Casemiro potentially out of action with jetlag problems, Real Madrid might only have two midfielders available for the Levante clash - Toni Kroos and James.
We wish Fede a quick recovery!
