Luka Modric stops 'old age' talks with brilliant performances against Eibar and Sociedad
- The Croatian scored an amazing goal against Real Sociedad and provided two assists.
- Luka's impact on the game was unmatchable with the player reminding everyone why he won a Ballon d'Or last year.
- Despite his age, Modric continues to be one of the most important players at Real Madrid.
Bravo, Luka Modric! The Croatian once again stopped the talks regarding his old age and the 'declining' level of performance. Against both Eibar and Real Sociedad, the midfielder managed to produce some amazing displays with Madridistas happy to see the current Ballon d'Or holder back to his old self.
On Saturday, Luka scored a brilliant goal and provided two assists. Needless to say, Modric makes a huge difference when he is on the pitch. Despite having younger players on the bench, Zinedine Zidane chooses to give the Croatian a spot in the starting XI. Rightly so, might we add.
Although the Croatian is going to remain a Blanco for the foreseeable future, he doesn't rule out the possibility of playing somewhere else.
"I like Italy, it's close to Croatia. I follow Serie A because I have many national team-mates playing there. The Italians are fantastic and have a mentality similar to us Croats. We'll see if one day I can play in Italy. I cannot talk about this because I am a Real Madrid player," said Luka during the Golden Foot ceremony on Wednesday.
Nevertheless, Madridistas can remain calm with the midfielder ending his statement in a respectful fashion: "I like being at Real and for now I see my future there alone."
Who do you want to play more - Valverde or Modric?
