Luka Modric to hand over Ballon d'Or to the winner
The Real Madrid player is going to be present at the Ballon d'Or ceremony, but not as one of the nominees.
SportBible remind us that our own Luka Modric will be the one to give out arguably the most desirable personal trophy in football.
Ballon d'Or ceremony is set to take place on Monday, December 2. We are just a couple of hours away from finding out who will win this year.
The Croatian has the right to give the trophy to the winner as he was the one to get it last year. Modric stopped Messi-Ronaldo exchange which lasted for a decade but this time he didn't make it to the 30-man shortlist.
However, it doesn't mean that there is no chance for some other Rela Madrid player to take it from Modric's hands. There are two Madridistas who have made it to this list.
Eden Hazard has joined Karm Benzema in the final wave of nominees. All in all, two Madrid players have been included but let's not forget that Eden played for Chelsea last year and will be awarded for his heroics with the Blues.
