De Telegraaf: 'After this season, Van de Beek will simply move to Real Madrid'
- The Dutch outlet' football editor-in-chief has commented on the ongoing story regarding Van de Beek's future.
- Despite the player leaving the metaphorical door open for anything, Valentijn Driessen is sure that Donny will come to Real Madrid next season.
- Driessen urges his readers to write his statement down.
Valentijn Driessen has no doubts about Donny van de Beek and his next club. The editor-in-chief of probably the most respected Dutch outlet, De Telegraaf, is sure that the midfielder is going to come to the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
"Donny won't leave this winter, but after this season he will simply move to Real Madrid. You can write it down," wrote Driessen.
The player himself recently spoke to the media about his plans for the January transfer window. Although the player has been linked to Real Madrid for months now, he is unlikely to change clubs anytime soon.
"It is not that I can or want to do something at the moment," the 22-year-old told FOX Sports Netherlands.
"I have said it before and I will say it again. I will remain at Ajax this season. And maybe next season as well. These reports about Real Madrid or Man United are a good sign, but it is not important now. I've said I will stay at Ajax and I will do so for 100 per cent."
In any case, the Dutchman still reportedly remains on the Whites' transfer list and the move can still happen in the summer of 2020 as Los Blancos are said to be looking to close the deal for Van de Beek sooner or later.
Since the start of the current season, the midfielder has already scored eight goals and assisted eight times in 26 appearances.
