Alderweireld willing to let his contract run out and leave Spurs for free
- Toby Alderweireld has a year left on his current contract with Spurs.
- He reportedly wants to determine his own future.
- The club have been willing to move the Belgian but received no 'serious' offers.
In January 2020, he'll be allowed to discuss a contract with foreign clubs.
Only Roma have expressed interest in the defender this summer but their offer was not nearly good enough for the North Londoners.
Spurs would love to get a fee for him but that doesn't seem like it's going to be the case.
The 30-year-old is now in his fifth season with the Premier League side. He's appeared in 50 matches in all competitions this season and will likely continue playing an important role for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
