'Mbappe stays here 100 per cent': PSG sporting director smashes Real Madrid links
- Leonardo says that Mbappe is going to stay in France no matter what.
- The director revealed the ongoing contract talks with the Ligue 1 star.
- Though the negotiations are slow, they are moving.
Following their Champions League game against Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo was expectedly asked about Kylian Mbappe and his next club. The French club are doing their utter best to stop the move and keep him and the Parc des Princes.
"Mbappe stays here 100 per cent, he's a Paris Saint-Germain player. We are moving forward with his contract renewal. We move slowly, but we are moving," said Leonardo during his post-Real Madrid interview.
The 20-year-old has recovered from his injury and it seems he is ready to shine for the Parisians. So far this season, the forward has scored ten goals and provided four assists in 13 games across all competitions.
Mbappe has been in hot form this season:
He currently has three more years left on his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit. However, PSG look determined to make sure Mbappe stays beyond 2022 as they plan to make him the biggest star at the club as Neymar is expected to leave next summer.
