Head held high. A beautiful gesture from Marcus Rashford for Gareth Southgate
• Rashford was used as a sub during the World Cup
• He still thanks his England boss Southgate for what has been done
England will still have a game for the third spot at the World Cup. Given the disposition of English and Belgian players, they no longer feel the competition worth staying in which means both teams may use fringe players on Saturday, just like they did at the group stage when Gareth Southgate started Rashford.
For Marcus, however, this would be a chance to finally find that first World Cup goal as he's been underwhelming up to now:
You’ve brought belief and the love of football back. Thank you boss from the whole nation ❤️⚽️ pic.twitter.com/2meUAFlIN5— Marcus Rashford (@MarcusRashford) July 12, 2018
