SPORT: Tottenham drop out of the race for Rabiot as player nears Barca move
- Spurs are confident that the midfielder will either stay in Paris or join Barcelona
- Rabiot has turned the Premier League side down
SPORT report Tottenham have dropped out of the race to sign Adrien Rabiot. Mauricio Pochettino's side were ready to pay PSG 30m euros for the 23-year-old but were turned down by the player himself who was not satisfied with Spurs' project. The Premier League side decided not to make further attempts of persuading the Frenchman to join as they believe he will either stay at PSG or move to Barca.
Adrien Rabiot has asked PSG for a move several times but has been told that he won't be sold. However, everything changed with the appointment of new coach Thomas Tuchel who doesn't see the midfielder as part of his plans.
According to the Le Parisien, the French giants have allowed Rabiot to join Barca if the €40m asking price is met. However, Blaugrana would hope to negotiate that price down as the as the 23-year-old's contract runs out next summer.
