Hi and welcome to the Stamford Bridge where Chelsea face Bournemouth in a Premier League clash!
Chelsea XI: Kepa, Alonso, Rudiger, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Willian, Hazard, Morata.
Bournemouth XI: Begovic, Smith, Francis, Ake, Cook, Rico, Gosling, Lerma, Fraser, King, Wilson.
Chelsea are one of four sides who have not yet dropped any points this season, along with Liverpool, Spurs and Watford.
Bournemouth have also had a positive start to this season with two wins and a draw so far. They also cruised past MK Dons in the League Cup mid-week.
Chelsea lost the latest meeting between the sides in January, as goals from Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas and ex-Blue Nathan Ake handed the Cherries the 3–0 victory in what was one of the worst performances of Antonio Conte's Stamford Bridge tenure. The Londoners had won the previous five clashes with Eddie Howe's side.
Bournemouth miss Marc Pugh, Junior Stanislas and Kyle Taylor due to injuries. Antonio Conte has just one injury absentee in Cesc Fabregas.
A long ball towards Morata is cut out by Francis.
A low cross towards from Fraser just misses Wilson in front of Chelsea goal!
Now Jorginho tires to spring Hazard with a pass but Francis is again there to intervene.
Azpilicueta's attempt from outside the box goes wide.
An energetic start to this one… both sides looking to attack.
Kante wins Chelsea their first corner of the afternoon.
Chelsea take it short and create a chance but Willian's shot is saved by Begovic twice. The former Blue took a knee to the head from David Luiz in the process and he's receiving treatment. Had the second attempt gone in, this play would've been a big talking point after this match.
Chelsea continue to dazzle the opposition with speed and skill.
Chelsea launch long balls time and time again to beat Bournemouth's high press. This must be the scouting report on Eddie Howe's side.
A turnover from the Blues creates a break for the Cherries but Kante comes flying back to recover.
Gosling's shot from the edge of the box goes well wide.
Kovacic goes down under Smith's challenge in the box but there's no appeal from the Croat. Corner kick.
Hazard taken down by Gosling, who gets booked. A great opportunity: Willian, Luiz, Alonso and Hazard prepare to take it.
Alonso's blast goes off the wall.
Chelsea have started the siege very early… at this rate, they're due a goal (or two) before the break.
Alonso's shot from long range misses.
Chelsea continue to dominate possession but find it harder to generate real chances.
Rico picks out Wilson near the penalty spot but his first touch is poor. He actually had a lot more room than he thought.
Alonso is booked for a foul on Smith.
Kovacic's drive is deflected away for a corner… Chelsea have had pleanty of these already.
Morata gets the ball near the six-yard box, turns and shoots but his effort is blocked by Cook.
Willian receves treatment after a poor tackle from Lerma.
Now Bournemouth get their first corner of the day.
Chelsea have had 82 per cent of possession but not many real opportunities.
Alonso has Chelsea's best chance of the half! His attempt from the edge of the box is deflected on its way past the backline and goes off the post!!!
Two minutes added on.
That's it for the first half! Chelsea have been dominating the play but missing the crucial touch to get the breakthrough. We'll see what Maurizio Sarri does to make it work.
We're back underway!
Chelsea pick up where they left off before the interval as they keep the Cherries pinned in their box.
Eden Hazard is now on the right flank. We'll see if it's a situational switch.
Alonso again threatens but his close-range attempt is stopped by Begovic, who is having an unbeievable match so far.
Kante trips up Wilson to stop the counter attack and he's fouled. King then gets into an altercation with Azpilicueta and Rudiger but the referee calms the players down.
Smith's corner kick reaches Ake right in front of goal but he puts it high from three yards away! What a chance wasted!
Another in-swinging corner kick causes issues for Kepa but he's fouled by Ake.
Morata makes way for Giroud.
Chelsea continue to press but the Cherries have shown that they can be dangerous on the counter-attack.
Pedro replaces Willian as Sarri makes the second changeto re-vitalise his front line.
More shots getting blocked.
The Cherries appeal for a second yellow card as Alonso collides with Smith who tried to take a quick throw-in but the ref didn't see any malicious intent from the Spaniard.
Giroud's shot goes off Pedro and just wide. Begovic would've had no chance there.
Lerma, who has been a nuisance for the Blues all day long, is booked for a foul on Hazard.
GOOOAAAL! Chelsea get the breakthrough thanks to Pedro's strike! Brilliant passing from him and Giroud stretch the defence and the winger then beats Begovic with an excellent low shot!
Bournemouth have not been able to muster up a quick response.
Fraser gets a good chances but wastes it slicing it well wide.
It's almost like Chelsea need two to win, they continue to dominate possession.
Loftus-Cheek replaces Kovacic as Sarri makes his last move. Ibe, Mousset come on for Smith, King for Bournemouth.
Pedro threatens again but Begovic makes a calm save.
Now Rudiger and Fraser get into it behind the play… the ref does not intervene.
GOOOAAAL!!! Hazard gives Chelsea the insurance after his tight-angle shot finds its way past Begovic.
Lewis Cook replaces Jefferson Lerma.
Four minutes added on!
Bournemouth now get on the offensive but it's too little too late.
That's it! Sarri's tenure begins with four consecutive league victories as Chelsea break down Bournemouth's resistance late.
