Does Danny Ward deserve to be handed the No.1 Jersey?
- Juergen Klopp faces uncertainty over the man in-between the sticks
- Given the extremely unreliable nature of Karius' performance, German Boss may entrust Ward with keeping the goal
- Here's what the people from Wales Online and the Huddersfield Examiner have to say on Danny and his first-team prospects
On how highly Ward was rated among the Terrier fans
Rory Benson (Huddersfield Examiner): "Danny Ward will never have to buy a pint in Huddersfield again - that's how highly-regarded he is in this corner of West Yorkshire.
"Town were promoted to the Premier League after a remarkable - and completely unexpected - season in 2016/17 and Ward was at the heart of that... the Liverpool loanee was superb from start to finish."
"Ward saved the best till last, making three penalty saves across two Championship play-off shootouts to take the Terriers to the top flight after 45 years in the lower-league wilderness."

On whether Danny is ready for the first-team with the Reds:
Ian Mitchelmore (Wales Online): "It's very difficult to say given his lack of game time at the top level. Wales haven't had a world-class goalkeeper since the days of Neville Southall, and while Ward has been No.2 for some time now, he's rarely had enough of a chance to shine at a club or international level for people to be certain that he will succeed at Anfield.
"However, his loan with Huddersfield was hugely convincing, although it was at a lower level, so there's certainly a risk, but given the difficulties Liverpool have had with their goalkeepers of late, it's a risk Wales fans on the whole feel is worth taking."
