Castilla fail to overcome Guijuelo: 0-0
The academy side did all they could but had to settle for a point at the Di Stéfano.
They couldn't have done much more, but despite dominating the tie and looking threatening throughout, Real Madrid Castilla had to settle for a point against Guijuelo, who demonstrated real grit and experience to share the spoils at the Di Stéfano.
As has become the norm, Solari's men looked to link up and create chances from the off, dominating the centre of the park. The Whites took control of possession in the first half but they struggled to ever breach the ordered visiting back line. Only Reguilón, in the best chance before the break, came close to finding the net after being picked out superbly by Tejero from the right-hand side.
Castilla continued to assert their authority on the game in the second half keeping Guijuelo from creating any real chances, though they were unable to find space in the opposition to create opportunities of their own. Franchu and Quezada tried their luck with shots they saw deflected wide, and the academy side penned their rivals in, as their best chance fell to the boots of Campuzano. Kike was alert to stop an effort that was destined for the top corner on 85 minutes.
