Thomas Partey out of Ghana squad with injury, Arsenal expect him back in London for tests

Thomas Partey missed Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on Monday due to injury, it has been confirmed.

The Black Stars' head coach Chris Houghton said: "Thomas, he has some small injury issues. We felt it was too big a risk to start him."

Arsenal now expect Partey to return to London on Tuesday in order to determine whether the 29-year-old will be fit to face Leeds at the weekend.

The midfielder has been a key player for the Gunners this season and losing him will be a major blow to their hopes of beating Manchester City to the title.
