Chelsea eye potential Pochettino replacement from Championship — he's worked with one of their loanees

According to The Guardian, Chelsea have identified Kieran McKenna as one of the leading candidates to replace Mauricio Pochettino if the club and the manager decide to part ways.

McKenna is the current head coach at Ipswich Town who he has taken from League One to the Premier League in two seasons. Previously, he was an assistant manager to several Man United managers.

Chelsea are impressed by his work and have already spoken to his representatives. They must have followed him this season as Omari Hutchinson was starring at Ipswich on loan from Chelsea.

Despite some improvement from Chelsea in recent months, Pochettino is far from secure. His fate will be decided at an end-of-season review with the sporting directors and co-owners.
