Trent Alexander-Arnold was reduced to tears as he gave a short pitch-side interview after Jurgen Klopp's final game in charge of Liverpool.
“I’ve developed as a man, as a player,” he told Viaplay when asked about the boss.
“He changed my life. Everyone around me, my whole family. This was all possible because of him. I can never say thank you enough. He made my dreams come true.
“I'm never emotional, ask my family, I can't remember the last time I cried. I haven’t cried in years. It feels very, very strange to me... It shows how much he means to me and the club.”
Klopp has been Trent's only manager at Liverpool at senior level. The German gave the right-back his debut and oversaw his development from a talented youngster to a world-class player and Reds vice-captain.
