Man United get major injury boost for Burnley clash

Erik ten Hag has provided an update on his selection options for Manchester United’s clash with Burnley on Saturday.

"It's the same squad but Mason Mount, he will return to the squad," he confirmed during his press conference on Friday to preview the game.

Mount has missed the last two games with an unspecified injury and he has not started a league match since October 7.

The England international is the only returning player for United's final game of the month with Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial back in outdoor training.

The Red Devils take to the Old Trafford turf for the second consecutive Premier League match, in which they’ll be hoping to seal back-to-back victories following a four-game winless streak.

Ten Hag’s men were able to see off bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United eventually, despite the travelling Blades leading twice in a cagey 60 minutes of action in M16.

Bruno Fernandes inspired the turnaround with two goals of his own before assisting Rasmus Hojlund for a fourth to make it 4-2 in the closing stages.

Now, it’s a meeting with 19th-placed Burnley that awaits United, with the Clarets having already sustained 21 losses this term.
