Xavi reveals Barca's plan for Ansu Fati and Abde, mentions Eric Garcia too

"Ansu Fati? His plan is to come back and triumph at Barca next year," Xavi has told the media.

"Abde insisted a lot on leaving, and that's why we let him go for that fee [€7.5m]. However, we have an option to bring him back [for €20m], and we’ll see what happens.

"Eric Garcia told me that he needed a change. I tried to convince him to stay, but in the end, he left also due to the financial fair play regulations."

Xavi was said to be unhappy about the departures of Eric Garcia and Abde. However, both players wanted to feel important this season.

As for Ansu Fati, the Barca boss seemed in favour of the move – just like the player himself who pushed for his loan exit in the final days of the transfer window.
