6 Barca players who should benefit from Xavi stay

Some Barcelona stars should be particularly happy with Xavi's decision to fulfill his current deal.

Here we list them all.

Gavi

The 19-year-old is said to be absolutely buzzing about the idea of working under Xavi next season as well. Given his versatility and the amount of work done during games, Gavi is definitely crucial to the Barca boss' tactical plans.

Andreas Christensen

On multiple occasions already, Xavi has said how much he appreciates the Dane's ability to play a defensive midfielder. If Barca end up signing no 'natural' option for that position, the boss could stick with the 28-year-old as his first-choice pick.

Fermin

The 20-year-old has been Xavi's personal bet since the pre-season that seems to have paid off. The midfielder is a great impact sub that eventually got promoted to the first team during the season – he's going to be part of the squad next term as well!

Sergi Roberto

The captain was going to stay at the club anyway, but Xavi's U-turn would make him even happier. The 32-year-old is said to be crucial to Barca's locker room, and he's always ready to step up if needed.

Marc Guiu

Just like Gavi, the 18-year-old is reportedly really happy about Xavi's final decision. He believes he's good enough to compete with Vitor Roque who doesn't get much game time under the Barca boss.

Eric Garcia

Xavi didn't want the centre-back to leave last summer. He's going to offer him a first-team role next season, although the club are expected to consider the incoming bids for the 23-year-old.
