Well, the Ukrainian winger signed for Chelsea a little over a year ago on a 100-million-euro deal from Shakhtar Donetsk. His contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2031, with a hefty release clause in that region inserted in the deal, meaning Barca cannot afford to sign him permanently.

However, there's still the option to loan him out, especially since the spot on the left flank is likely to be vacated in the summer.
