Xavi-Laporta meeting lasts 5 minutes — what happened

The meeting between Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Xavi lasted just 5 minutes, according to Gerard Romero.

Laporta fell ill immediately after the Rayo game and could not discuss anything serious with Xavi. Thus, he left early. The Barcelona leadership team also left with the president.

The feeling after Barca's 3-0 win against Rayo is that Xavi will not be sacked after all. Xavi also insists that Deco firmly supports him.

However, a meeting between Laporta will eventually be held at the end of the season at which point everyone will find out if Xavi is staying or not.
