'Tight race we probably lose': Klopp delivers injury update on Konate, 2 more players ahead of Man United clash

Ibrahima Konate is unlikely to be involved in the FA Cup clash with Man United, Jurgen Klopp reveals.

"Ibou didn't train today," the Liverpool boss told a press conference. "We have to see if he can train tomorrow but it will be a tight, tight race which we probably lose, but we don't know."

At the same time, Bobby Clark avoided a big issue in the Sparta game, while Ryan Gravenberch is close to returning.

"Bobby felt much better," Klopp added. "It was uncomfortable, he got a knock there, a little swelling and that swelling led to the feeling it could be something more serious. But it's not, he's fine.

"Ryan trained today again so is ready as well. And some of the others (will be back) after the international break."

Konate's absence will be keenly felt, even though he has able backups.

Despite his injury, though, the centre-back received a call-up to the France squad for two friendlies during the upcoming international break.
