'He will be back': Ancelotti explains what exactly is wrong with Bellingham

Jude Bellingham was largely disappointing in Real Madrid's 2-2 draw against Bayern. He wasn't making those unstoppable driving runs into the final third, didn't arrive in the box to cause damage, barely had a shot on goal and gave the ball away 10 times.

Unsurprisingly, Ancelotti was bold to hook him off after 75 minutes with Real Madrid searching for an equalizer.

“He is going to recover his best version. He had the injury, which affected him a lot," Ancelotti said explaining the Bellingham situation.

"He has not been at his best, but he will be back very soon and by Wednesday he will be 100%," Ancelotti added.

Bellingham's form has been a cause for concern in 2024. The player picked up a painful ankle injury in a game against Girona and has struggled to regain his best version since.

Jude was superb with his work rate in games against Man City and scored a winner in El Clasico but his tally for the year stands at four goals in 16 games.

Vinicius Jr. has now caught up with Jude to become Real Madrid's joint-top scorer with 21 goals.
