Carlo Ancelotti's plan for Arda Guler revealed

Carlo Ancelotti has decided that Arda Guler will not be sent out on loan next season. But that's not all.

According to Relevo, Ancelotti wants Guler to play an advanced midfield role next season. The boss sees him as Luka Modric's heir and a competitor for Jude Bellingham.

"For Arda, the closer to goal he is, the better. He is very effective, he has scored a lot of goals with few shots and he has a special talent for showing himself closer to the goal than further away," Ancelotti said.

The problem with this plan is that Guler may not get that much playing time next season with Bellingham still ahead of him in the pecking order.

Modric is likely to stay at the club and that would also impact Guler's chances of playing regularly.
