Biography
Written by Koen Van Uytvange, Pieter-Jan Calcoen and Yanko Beeckman for Nieuwsblad:
The left winger started off like a rocket in his first season at Manchester City, but was unable to continue his impressive statistics from the start of the campaign through to the very end. In the national team, with his speed and dribbling skills, he is one of the most important weapons and – albeit with a different style – he is seen as the successor to Eden Hazard. Jeremy Doku is enjoying great facilities at Manchester City today, but as a youth player for Anderlecht he was also shown around Liverpool's training complex, leading to a slight misunderstanding. His dad, David, said: “We talked about Chelsea quite often, and so Liverpool were afraid that Jérémy would sign there – while we were just talking about our youngest daughter. Her name is also Chelsea.”
