Speaking about his recent fitness problems that he recovered from to power Arsenal to a 3-0 win over Brighton, Bukayo Saka said: “I was struggling, but as long as I have two legs I will give everything - I want to be on the pitch.
“Inside we are all buzzing, we know the win takes us back on top [of the league]. To come here after playing three days ago, I am really happy for all the boys who put in another performance - we are building momentum.”
Saka has been enjoying a highly prolific season for Arsenal and showed nerves of steel by coolly converting the first-half penalty to give his side the lead.
He has now taken his tally to 14 goals and eight assists in the Premier League for Arsenal heading into the final stretch of the title race.
