Bukayo Saka produced a stunning performance in Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, scoring a goal and also producing an assist.
He became the first Englishman to score in both home and away North London derbies in the Premier League for Arsenal since Ian Wright in 1994.
But it wasn’t just Saka’s overall performance, but what he did after the opening goal that Wright absolutely love, as he noted on the Wrighty’s House podcast: “Do you know what I loved about Saka today, which I haven’t seen him do before?
“The Tottenham fans were singing ‘you let your country down’ when he was taking the corner for the first goal and then the corner went in and when we scored he turned to them and cupped his ears. That’s what I want to see now. Levels.”
Saka has now scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists in 45 appearances for the Gunners so far in the 2023/24 season.
