Bayer Leverkusen's CEO, Fernando Carro, has made it clear: Florian Wirtz is staying put.
He claimed: "I once said Florian Wirtz's price was €150m. It was a mistake saying that. Wirtz is priceless. I can remember a few talks with players who wanted to leave because they wanted to win titles. That's no longer an argument."
At only 20 years old, Wirtz has played a crucial role in Leverkusen's historic Bundesliga title win this season.
The team is aiming to finish the campaign undefeated in all competitions, with the DFB-Pokal final against Kaiserslautern next month and a UEFA Europa League semi-final against Roma on the horizon.
Fans can also expect to see Alex Grimaldo and Victor Boniface sticking around at BayArena, alongside their impressive coach Xabi Alonso.
