Kim Min-jae had a game to forget against Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinal. First, Bayern's centre-back lost his man allowing Vinicius Jr to go for a rendezvous with Manuel Neuer and score. Second, he fouled Rodrygo in the box, costing his team a penalty and another goal.
Third, that wasn't all.
No wonder lots of people slightly overreacted to that performance, as bad as it was.
@NealGardner: Kim had a shocker, he actually managed to make m Eric Dier look like the most competent defender…
@LFCLaurie: Two years ago, Kim Min-Jae was 25 playing in Turkey and Bayern went and splashed £45m on him off the back of one good season
@fiago7: Anyone still want to defend Kim tonight? Lovely guy but not on par sadly for such a huge game
@Complaxes: Min-Jae Kim is the next CB to sabotage our Champions League run…
The thing is, the Korean centre-back is having a great season at his club and is one of the few players who showed up from day one. However, that was a game to forget, although everything is to play for in the second leg at the Bernabeu.
