Man United have laboured to a last-gasp 1-0 win.
Man of the Match
Marcus Rashford: 9/10. Scored our only goal of the night. It was a simple tap-in but he was there and deserves all the praise in the world for winning the game for us.
According to Opta, Rashford has scored more 90th-minute winning goals than any other player in the Premier League history (4). There are some Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vibes here — and I obviously mean Ole as a player, not a manager.
Excellent
Edinson Cavani: 8. Didn't do much in the ten minutes he was given by Rangnick apart from one thing: playing a fantastic ball for Rashford to tap in. Did really well to stay onside when he received Anthony Martial's pass.
Anthony Martial: 8. Same as Cavani — influenced the game in the short time he was given by the coach, laying the ball for Cavani to play it to Rashford.
Harry Maguire: 7.5. The centre-back really stepped up today as he was flauless throughout the 90 minutes today. Made a lot of good challenges, winning 100 per cent of his tackles and making 5 ball recoveries.
Good
Diogo Dalot: 7. A very promising performance. Quality defending from the full-back. Was involved in the offensive build-up and did well up front, often driving infield and helping United create overloads in the right-centre channel.
Needs to work on his crossing though as he hit the first man way too often today.
Raphael Varane: 7. Comfortable at the back. Needs to work on his delivery as his long passes were often intercepted by West Ham players.
Anthony Elanga: 6.5. The youngster looked sharp, making runs on the left-hand side and linking up well with his teammates, particularly Fernandes and Ronaldo.
However, as West Ham defended deep, he didn't have many chances to use his pace. Tracked back well to help full-backs, particularly in the second half.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 6.5. Tried really hard to get a goal. Linked up well with other attackers. Had penalty claims waived away in the first half after contact with Zouma in the box.
Could have done better
Mason Greenwood: 6. Wasted a good chance early in the game as went for a shot instead of passing the ball to Ronaldo. Mase could have spared us all the drama of the last-minute victory had he played the ball to Cristiano.
Bruno Fernandes: 6. Created chances for Greenwood and Ronaldo in the first half. But as our prime source of creativity, the Portuguese certainly should have done more.
Scott McTominay: 5.5. Good in winning the ball back from West Ham but misplaced too many simple passes and didn't create any danger going forward.
Others: De Gea N/A; Telles 6.5, Fred 6.
