Man United are interested in the possible signing of Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong in the summer window, claims Sky Sports Germany.
However, the Red Devils are going to face stiff competition from Bayern Munich – who are eager to raid one of their Bundesliga rivals for a key player again.
A decision on the future of Frimpong can be made by the end of April 2024 and a number of top European clubs are interested in him.
The young right-back has a release clause of around €40m-€45m, which can be activated by any club that can convince him to join them.
Frimpong recently opened up on his future stance, telling Sky Sports: “I just want to win trophies. I am really so focused on this season and on Leverkusen. But in the future? You never know what will happen in football.”
The 23-year-old has made 34 appearances for Leverkusen so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions.
