Real Madrid are on the brink of winning their first La Liga title in two years.
Carlo Anelotti's men have raced into an 11-point lead on their closest rivals Barcelona, after beating them 3-2 in a head-to-head encounter on Sunday.
Advertisment
Given that there are just six games left to be played this season, it means that Los Blancos will be crowned league champions if they win two more games (v Real Sociedad and Cadiz) and get at least a draw v Granada.
As such, Madrid could be officially crowned champions on May 11 – three rounds before the season ends.
