Arteta should bench Laca if he fails to score against Newcastle
While Mikel Arteta has shown that he trusts the French striker, he still fails to deliver and his goal drought continues since December.
Even though his work-rate is good, Lacazette is nowhere to be found when we need him where he needs to be - in the opposition's penalty box.
He drops deep, he fights for balls, he does everything but he does not score. Maybe Arteta is using him wrong, I don't know, but a striker's job is to put the ball into the net, and Arsenal are having some serious problems with this under the new boss.
Aubameyang should be given a role as the centre-forward, that's his natural position and he has the killer instinct Lacazette has apparently lost.
While it'd be good if we could wait for Laca to start converting his chances but we don't have the time given that European qualification slips out of Arsenal's hands.
The time is running out. If Alexander does not score against the Magpies, he must be benched in the next few games to reconsider his approach.
