2 possible reasons for dragging out Havertz’s transfer
Chelsea have done hell of a good job in the current transfer window, literally making the best possible signings considering players available at the moment. The only missing piece of the puzzle is the one we’re waiting for quite a long now, Kai Havertz of course.
While we all can’t wait for the deal to be confirmed, there are few logical reasons to understand why it takes so long for it. I’ll try to justify the two most tenable ones that keep testing our patience day by day.
1. Waiting for Leverkusen to find a replacement:
Bayer are losing a key player and are set to earn a full load of money for him, so every club that is going to do business with them now is well aware of that and are going to require much more for any player Bayer is interested in. Therefore, The Pharmacists have to find the right solution to fill the void left by selling Havertz, and that may be the reason why they’re dragging out on concluding the deal with The Blues.
2. Including Malang Sarr in the deal:
It was known that Leverkusen were interested in signing the ball-playing defender on a free transfer before he signed for Chelsea, so it can be naturally assumed here is that Chelsea should try to lower the asking price for Havertz by sending Sarr out on loan to them. It could work out well for all parties included, first of all for Chelsea getting their so much wanted player at a lower price, for Havertz signing for Chelsea and finally making a step further in his brightly anticipated career, then for Leverkusen still getting loads of money plus a player they were interested in, and finally for Sarr getting an opportunity to gain experience playing top-level football.
In the end, it’s just the matter of a day we’ll see Kai Havertz in a blue jersey, and it would be interesting if reason No. 2 turns out to be the one why we all waited so long for it to happen. We should never underestimate Marina’s sense for business, for sure she’s going to find the best possible solution to make it happen!

Good things don't come fast and cheap. Therefore for us to secure the services of Kai Havertz, Chelsea got to pay a lot £££ and we fans got to be a little bit more patience. KTBFFH.
Hi, that's an interesting take! Some credible sources wrote that the hold-up was also caused by some minor disagreements about the structure of payments (for how long or how big the bonuses will be), but this is plausible too We've shared it to the main feed, just made a bit of editing
Thanks mate, I know that the hold-up is mainly because of payment structure, but I just added my opinion which is more of a wish, but I still think it’s not that impossible 😅 let’s wait and see, who knows 🤔🍺
It doesn’t make sense to me if you don’t want to sell him they should let us know
