Out of luck: VAR deny Sassuolo 4 goals in thriller Napoli loss
  • Italian side Sassuolo had four goals disallowed in their 2-0 loss to Napoli.
  • Three different away players scored and celebrated their goal before referees calling it offside.
  • The first one was in the 31st minute when Napoli had a 1-0 lead. Filip Djuricic scored but he had not been onside when he received the pass.
  • Five minutes later, the Serbian striker netted once again but still no luck.
  • Then during the 50th minute, Francesco Caputo received a beautiful pass and scored past David Ospina but the ball was returned to the Napoli goalkeeper.
  • Finally, just when Domenico Berardi scored yet another goal in the 61st minute and the away side thought they had gotten lucky, the referee found out that the striker was, in fact, offside while receiving the ball.
  • Eventually, the Partenopei's Allan added their second goal to the scoresheet, clinching one of their toughest wins ever.
