- Arjen Robben has netted his first goal for Groningen since making a sensational return earlier this year.
- The Dutchman scored with a low left-footed strike from outside the box, in a friendly against Arminia Bielefeld.
- The forward retired from football in 2019 after coming to an end of his contract by Bayern Munich but made a U-turn this year.
- He now represents his home side Groningen after expressing his desire to help his old club on the pitch.
- Robben was expected to feature a month earlier, however, the winger explained the delay by a need to build fitness.
- He said: "I want to get even fitter before I start competitions. I'm really in a good position, but playing a match is completely different to training. After not having played football for a year, it is logical that you will experience some complaints."
