Guinness Record holder 'El Loco' joins his 30th club aged 44 – he played with Suarez and ripped Ghana's heart out
  • Uruguayan striker Sebastian Abrau joined his 30th professional club at the age of 44 recently when he signed for Brazilian club Athletic Club.
  • Better known as El Loco – which translates as ‘madman’ in English – the 44-year-old has played all over South America as well as Spanish clubs Real Sociedad and Deportivo La Coruna in the past.
  • In 2017, Abrau broke the Guinness World Record for the most professional football clubs played for when he signed for Chilean side Audax Italiano.
  • In his 25+ years career, El Loco has even played with Luis Suarez for the Uruguayan national team and scored the decisive penalty against Ghana to take Uruguay in the 2010 FIFA World Cup semi-finals.
