Lionel Messi kick-started Argentina’s Copa America in style with a brilliant free-kick in their 1-1 draw against Chile on Monday.
The Barcelona captain received a free kick a few yards outside in the first half in perfect range for him.
He beautifully struck the ball to float over the wall and into the top corner beyond Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo’s reach.
That goal was Messi’s 73rd in his International career – but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough as Eduardo Vargas scored an equalizer in the second half to split the points for both teams.
