Police interrupts Brazil vs Argentina to deport 4 players for lying to enter the country

The much-anticipated clash between Brazil and Argentina was brought to an abrupt halt around the 7th-minute mark on Sunday after members of the Brazilian health authorities stepped onto the pitch.

The health authorities, along with the federal police, invaded the pitch in order to detain four Argentina players – Giovani Lo Celso, Emiliano Martinez, Emiliano Buendia, and Christian Romero – who reportedly lied to enter the country from England.

All four players have now been told to leave the country after having falsified information to enter Brazil for the big game.

Incidentally, only one of the four players, Romero didn't start the game - as the others were charged by the police for illegally taking part in the match.
