Speaking after the fiasco in Brazil vs Argentina game, Lionel Scaloni said: “I’m very upset. I don’t blame anyone. This is very sad because it wasn’t the moment to do this on the pitch.
“This was supposed to be a party. I am lost for words. I wish people in Argentina knew what I’m going through. I’m not letting my players get deported.”
This comes after Brazilian health authorities stormed the pitch during the game to try and deport 4 Argentina players who reportedly lied to enter Brazil for the game.
However, the Argentina players protected the four accused stars in Giovani Lo Celso, Emiliano Martinez, Emiliano Buendia, and Cristian Romero – with the game being forcibly called off in the end.
