Saul Niguez has revealed that former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea forward Fernando Torres played an important part in his decision to switch clubs this summer.
He told in an interview with Fabrizio Romano: "Fernando Torres was my biggest idol growing up and now we are really close friends.
"He helped me make my decision about the move to Chelsea.
"I was one of those kids on Twitter defending Fernando Torres when he moved from Atleti to Liverpool," Saul added.
Fernando Torres was a Chelsea player for four seasons, helping the Blues win the Champions League and the Europa League.
Soon after leaving London, he returned to Atletico Madrid where, as we know now, he got to know Chelsea's latest signing Saul.
