Sterling 8.5, Cucurella 4: rating Chelsea players in Burnley win

Sterling - 8.5

Scored one of the goals and had a role to play in the other three. Not flawless, but persistent which paid off in the end.

Comes to terms with his role at Chelsea - and not just defensively as he kept things ticking in midfield. One of his tackles led to Sterling's goal.

Palmer - 7

Drifted centrally, perhaps too much, but created a few opportunities before dispatching a penalty. Late in the game, provided an assist for Jackson.

A torrid day for the Spaniard who was struggling against 18-year-old winger Odobert, Burnley's goalscorer.

Also struggled with speedy Burnley forwards. Probably shouldn't be played at left-back anymore?

Broja - 5

Failed to stake his claim for the starting role with an ineffective performance - which looks even worse in comparison with Jackson's impact off the bench.

The rest: Sanchez - 6.5, Disasi - 5.5, Thiago Silva - 5.5, Enzo - 6, Gallagher - 6, Jackson - 7, Mudryk - n/a, Maatsen - n/a
