Messi: 'I had very little contact with Griezmann since his arrival'

Despite Barcelona dressing room initially opposing Antoine Griezmann transfer, the Frenchman is settling in well at Barcelona. He has already started delivering on the pitch and off it, he has made some right steps establishing an amicable relationship with Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique, Ousmane Dembele and the rest of the squad.

Unfortunately, the French forward is yet establish any meaningful connection with Lionel Messi, as the Argentine has confirmed in the most recent interview with Diario Sport. Nevertheless, the Argentine reckons that they will still have plenty of time to get used to each other.

"[We had] very little [contact with Griezmann] to be honest," Messi said.

"Since I returned, I’ve been injured and training on my own. I’m not really in the group. They went on the tour and when they came back we saw each other a little in the dressing room. But I’ve not been there in the training sessions. We’ll have the opportunity to share many things."

Hopefully, Leo will fully recover soon and he and Antoine will jell well together. If everything goes as planned, we will have an opportunity to see the trio of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann in action against Borussia Dortmund.
