Still improving: Messi registers career-high numer of take-ons in 2019

It might seem impossible, but even at 32 Leo Messi continues to beat his own extraterrestrial records.

In 2019, the Argentine managed to achieve a mind-blowing number of 5.9 successful take-ons per game, which is actually Messi's highest average through his entire La Liga career.

This number of take-ons per game is also more than any other player in the top five leagues managed.

Moreover, this Champions League season saw Messi completing successful dribbles per 90 minutes, which also is Leoi's highest average through his entire Champions League career.

All in all, the 32-year-old has had a great year in terms of individual achievements.

Leo Messi in 2019:

  • 50 goals
  • 18 assists
  • 0.86 goal ratio
  • 68 goal involvements in 58 games for both club and country
  • 1 La Liga
  • 1 European Golden Shoe
  • 1 Ballon d'Or

This season alone, Messi has scored 13 La Liga goals and provided six assists.

Unfortunately, Leo didn't score against Real Madrid in 2019. Hopefully next year we will see something like this from him:
