According to Telefoot, Paris Saint-Germain and Neymar's entourage have resumed talks on a new deal for the Brazilian. The sides have been in touch for several weeks now.
However, there is still no concrete proposal from the club while the player himself is believed to be 'in no rush' to discuss the new contract with the Parisians, the same source concludes.
Neymar's current deal with PSG expires in 2022.
There were rumours that PSG were unlikely to offer Neymar a new deal following the infamous transfer saga last summer. The Brazilian was heavily linked with the La Liga return but was forced to stay at Parc des Princes eventually.
Moreover, Neymar's teammate Kylian Mbappe is said to be more valued by the club.
Neymar completed a surprising move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2017. Last summer, Barca got really close to re-signing the Brazilian but failed due to PSG's huge financial demands. This year, the story may happen again as FIFA are expected to put their own price tag for the player.
By the way, former PSG coach Unai Emery recently backed Neymar to rejoin Barca. He said: "He is 27 years old and has all the conditions to be the best player in the world. In Spain I would like him to come back because the best players have to be in the best teams."
